Craftsmanship
Cut
Each hide is inspected and cut by hand, following the grain and avoiding the scars that every honest hide carries.
Stitch
Every seam is saddle-stitched with waxed linen thread. It is ten times slower than a machine, and it can be repaired for a lifetime.
Finish
Edges are bevelled, sanded and painted in five coats. Brass is solid and unlacquered so it ages alongside the leather.
