Voyager Tote
The Travel Collection

In detail

01 · The piece
An open tote in vegetable-tanned full grain, sized for a 14-inch laptop and a change of plans.

02 · Exterior
The body is cut as one piece so the grain reads continuously across the front, sides and back. The corners are turned, not gusseted.

03 · Interior
Unlined, so you can see the flesh side of the hide. A single slip pocket in the same leather, stitched to the back wall.

04 · Materials
Full-grain shoulder tanned slowly in oak and chestnut extracts. It arrives matte and firm, and leaves you glossy and soft.

05 · Hardware
Unlacquered solid brass rivets and feet. They dull, then polish where your hands go.

06 · Craftsmanship
Every seam is saddle-stitched with waxed linen thread, two needles crossing in each hole. Edges are painted in five coats.
Featured collection · AW26
Bags and companions for the long way round. Built to be thrown into overhead lockers, and to look better for it.

Craftsmanship
01
Each hide is inspected and cut by hand, following the grain and avoiding the scars every honest hide carries.
02
Every seam is saddle-stitched with waxed linen thread. Ten times slower than a machine, repairable for a lifetime.
03
Edges are bevelled, sanded and painted in five coats. Brass is solid and unlacquered so it ages with the leather.
Patina
Cognac darkens by two shades in the first year. By year five it is nearly espresso where it is handled, and the brass has gone soft gold.
