Terms of Sale
These terms govern every sale made on this website to a consumer. They are available on this page at all times, can be saved and printed, and are accepted when an order is placed.
Nothing in these terms removes the rights French and European consumer law gives you.
Information given before the order
Each product page states the essential characteristics of the piece: materials, dimensions, weight, colour, hardware and place of manufacture. Delivery costs and times are on the Shipping page and are shown again in the basket and at checkout, before payment.
Before confirming, you see the full order summary: the pieces, their prices, the delivery cost, any discount and the total to pay.
Prices
Prices are shown in euros or in US dollars, at your choice, and are the final prices for the pieces: any applicable tax is included. Delivery costs are added and shown separately before the order is confirmed.
Prices may change at any time; the price that applies to an order is the one displayed when the order is confirmed. Orders delivered outside the European Union may be charged import duties and taxes on arrival, which are not included and are paid by the recipient.
Payment
We accept:
- Card, processed by Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd. Card details are entered on Stripe systems and never reach our servers. Strong customer authentication (3-D Secure) is applied where the bank requires it.
- Bank transfer. The order is prepared once the transfer has cleared; bank details are sent with the order confirmation.
The methods actually available for an order are those listed at checkout. The card is charged when the order is placed. An order that is not paid is not accepted.
Order and confirmation
You choose the pieces, enter the delivery and billing addresses, choose a delivery method and a payment method, check the summary, then confirm by pressing the button that says the order carries an obligation to pay.
An acknowledgement is emailed immediately. The contract is formed when we confirm the order; a second email confirms dispatch and carries the tracking number. Keep these emails: they are your proof of purchase.
We may refuse an order that is abnormal, made in bad faith, or that we cannot deliver; in that case nothing is charged, or any amount taken is refunded in full.
Delivery
Pieces are delivered to the address given at checkout, within the times and at the costs shown on the Shipping page, and in any case within 30 days of the order (article L216-1 of the French consumer code). If that period is exceeded you may cancel the order and be refunded in full.
Risk passes to you when you, or a person you name, physically takes the parcel. Check the parcel on arrival: report visible damage to the carrier and to us within three days.
Right of withdrawal
You have 14 days from the day you receive the pieces to withdraw, without giving a reason and without penalty (articles L221-18 and following). We extend this period to 30 days as a commercial gesture; the legal 14 days are unaffected.
How to withdraw, who pays the return, when the refund is made and which pieces are excluded are set out on the Returns page, which includes the model withdrawal form.
Legal guarantees
Every piece carries the legal guarantee of conformity (articles L217-3 and following of the consumer code) for two years from delivery. During that period you choose between repair and replacement, free of charge, and a defect that appears within two years is presumed to have existed on delivery. If the remedy fails, you may ask for a price reduction or cancel the sale.
Every piece also carries the guarantee against hidden defects (articles 1641 and following of the civil code), which can be relied on for two years from the discovery of the defect.
Our ten-year commercial warranty, described on the Warranty page, is additional to these guarantees and never replaces them. Wear, patina and the marks of use are not defects.
Liability
We are liable for the proper performance of the contract, including where it is performed by the carrier or by the payment provider, unless the failure is caused by you, by an unforeseeable third party, or by force majeure (article L221-15). We are not liable for how a piece is used beyond its normal use.
Personal data
Personal data is processed as described in our Privacy policy, and cookies as described on the Cookies page.
Complaints and mediation
Write to us first: we answer every complaint.
If no solution is found within two months, you may refer the dispute free of charge to the consumer mediator we are registered with, as provided by article L612-1 of the consumer code.
You may also use the European online dispute resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
Applicable law
These terms are governed by French law. This does not deprive a consumer living in another country of the protection of the mandatory rules of that country. Disputes that remain unresolved may be brought before the competent court.
