Cut short on a bomber block. Ribbed wool holds the collar, the cuffs and the hem, so the body sits just below the waist and stays there. Two welt pockets are set at the hip, deep enough for a phone and a pair of gloves.
The zip opens from both ends, which lets the hem release when you sit down. Inside, a quilted viscose lining that takes the chill off a cold platform.

Lambskin nappa from Lombardy at 0.8 mm, drum-dyed black. The rib is a wool blend knitted to the same tone as the shell.

The rib is set under tension before it is joined, so the hem draws in evenly instead of gathering at the seams.
