Flat-bottomed, so it stands on a narrow shelf, and wide enough at the mouth to see what is inside. The zip runs the length of the top and opens onto a single compartment.
The interior is unlined and the flesh side is sealed, so a bottle that leaks wipes off instead of soaking in. It darkens around the base first.

Vegetable-tanned full grain from Tuscany at 1.6 mm, firm enough to hold the box shape without board inside it.

The base is cut in one piece with the sides and folded, which leaves two seams below the zip instead of four.
